Weekend.

Remember at the end of the school year in like High School when there are all kinds of banquets and awards ceremonies and how cool it was to see your friends get awards or even you get an award? But if you didn't know anyone at all, except for your sweet action little brother who won an award in every sport he played in, yes it would be BOORING. And that's what I did tonight :-)

The food was good.

Yesterday I made friends after Russian class! I made friends! But they're both leaving tomorrow to go back to England... all day in my center's main office on Fridays they serve champaigne and chocolate to celebrate the weekend, so I talked to Dan, a British banker who used to work delivering boats and who has also gone bungy jumping in New Zealand, and Maria, a Japanese girl with light brown hair and green eyes (due to a Russian father) who studies medicine in Oxford and comes to Russia periodicially to get in touch with her Russian roots via language lessons. We went out for coffee and tea and then lunch. It was nice to hang out with people. Like other than Mom, who is wonderful, but after 3 weeks... we watched a movie last night and ate girl-food and shared a bottle of red wine. Yeah, we do have good times.
